Flavored Candy-Caramel Corn (mom’s)
This is a harder coated corn – more of a candy coating. Definitely sticks to your teeth, but so yummy!

- 1 1/2 cups sugar (338 g)
- 1/2 cup clear syrup (Karo brand works well)
- 1 cup butter (227 g)
- 3 poppers of popcorn (1 popper = 1/3 c. corn kernels)
- 1 tsp flavoring (cinnamon, peppermint, etc.)
- food coloring
Instructions
- Cook sugar, syrup & butter to almost the hard-ball stage (260º F).
- Add flavoring & food coloring, mixing well.
- Pour over popcorn, mix quickly.
- Spread & cool on waxed paper sheets (helps to butter your hands. Gets hot!).
- Store in covered tin.
